Collin Crane joined the Lab team as a Research Assistant for the summer. Collin most recently moved to DC from Tacoma, Washington and is currently pursuing a dual MPP/JD degree at Georgetown University. Collin spent 12 years in the Army before starting graduate school, which means his knees and back ache just about all the time. Collin came to the Lab because he cares about improving his community through better policy design and advocacy.
Collin loves animals and is the type of person who stops to look at insects on the sidewalk (but absolutely will not touch them). Collin spent some time stationed in Arizona for military training, where he became an unofficial “herping” guide for his classmates and would lead night expeditions in the desert to look for snakes and other critters (but absolutely not touch them). DC does not have abundant wildlife, however, so Collin is learning to content himself with longitudinal studies of the rats and squirrels at his local city park (but absolutely does not touch them).
