Danielle is a Research Assistant in The Lab @ DC and a graduate student in data science at American University, where she focuses on putting data to use for the public good.
Prior to joining The Lab, Danielle worked at the International Rescue Committee, where she coordinated a post-arrival educational program for refugees while contributing to projects related to food security and COVID-19 vaccine access. Prior to that, she provided career-development services at Saint Vincent de Paul of Baltimore to participants in a rapid-rehousing program. In addition to her nonprofit work, Danielle has been a journalist and a teacher.
Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Asian studies, political science, and international relations from the University of Wisconsin, as well as a Master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Michigan. When she is not working, she is usually planning her next hiking trip, dabbling in a new language, or perusing the Little Free Libraries in her Ward 6 neighborhood.
