Samantha Flom is a Research Assistant at The Lab @ DC and a graduate student in the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy. Her focus is on urban policy, particularly as it relates to racial equity.
Prior to joining The Lab @ DC, Samantha worked in opinion research at APCO Worldwide. In this role, Samantha helped institutions better understand and address problems they were facing across a variety of audiences. Examples of her work include pinpointing racial disparities in a higher education system and uncovering misconceptions to prevent a public health crisis. Samantha also worked as a Research Manager at Ipsos where she conducted surveys for Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies.
Samantha received her B.A. in government from Smith College. Her interests outside of work include baking, trying new restaurants, and going on long walks with her husband and dog.
